History of Howe Schools

..."Mr. Stivers' thesis, written in 1950-60, for completion of his master's program at Oklahoma State University. As most of his AG boys know, he wrote about the "Evaluation and Appraisal of Vocational Agriculture programs in Leflore and Latimer Counties". This was a ten year culmination of his study of what was near and dear to his heart; his beloved town of Howe and agriculture throughout the two counties." - Vickie Jirash

"Paws" for Praise and Save The Date!

Congratulations Savannah Smallwood! 2013 State Track Meet Girls 2A Shot Put 2nd Place & Discus 6th Place

Congratulations to Hannah Beames, winner of the 2013 Nelson Davis Red Shovel Award!  Thanks to all faculty and staff for your votes and comments. Below are several quotes from the staff:

"Hannah is active in so many areas of our school. For some of these activities, she gains little recognition. For example, the service she provides the varsity girls basketball team is unsurpassed, but there are no accolades for this job. She is someone that I would be proud for my daughter to emulate!"

"For all the years that I have known Hannah, she has always exemplified the outstanding leadership and character qualities the Red Shovel Award is based upon. She has continually shined bright in the classroom with her academics throughout her school years."

"Hannah is always willing to help whenever and wherever she is needed. She never complains and is always friendly and honest. She's a great girl!"

Congratulations to Hannah Beames State FFA Degree Recipient!
