English students have been busy the past three weeks. Students start each day with a vocabulary bell ringer. The first week of school, they reviewed different sentence structures (simple, compound, complex, and compound/complex) and wrote short stories about a random object they pulled from a bowl. They had to include all four sentence structures in their writing and all of the elements of plot (exposition, rising action, climax, falling action and resolution). This week Freshman English classes did an online scavenger hunt for mythology. The groups will take the information they found and create an iMovie to present to the class at the beginning of next week. Sophomore English classes are reading the play The Crucible. Speech students are working on an iMovie using pictures to tell a story. They will present their picture stories next week.
