First Week of School
We had an exciting first week of school this week. I have a new position at Howe Elementary this year. I am the First through Third grade Music and Art teacher. We had a blast this week getting to know each other while singing, dancing and drawing. I am also the Fifth grade reading teacher and teach one class of creative writing. I am enjoying teaching fifth grade and enjoy reading the wonderful stories they have begun to start writing. I'm looking forward to another great week next week.See More

Today was Pumpkin Day in class.The students choose a pumpkin.Then they were able to paint the pumpkin. (Students learned about mixing colors)Students voted on what to carve the pumpkin. (ghost won)Students then helped carve a pumpkin they removed the insides of the pumpkin.Students looked at the pumpkin seeds.They also help prep. the pumpkin to be carved.Students learned a variety of Halloween type songs.
