English I: This week the students will be turning in their Compare/Contrast final drafts. I also introduced them to our new unit: Romeo and Juliet.
English III: The students completed vocabulary for chapters 7-9 of The Great Gatsby. The also spent time getting caught up.

AP Lit & Comp: This week we started our Harlem Renaissance Unit. I first introduced the students to the anchor text--Zora Hurston's Their Eyes Are Watching God. The students learned about Hurston's life and got a brief introduction to the novel. We read through Chapter 1, the students did vocabulary for Chapters 1-3, and we worked on analysis techniques.
