This week has been busy with Aplus lessons, some activities and preparation for our visit from the state department.  Today was our third PBL workshop.  The students were a little slow getting started but worked very hard once they did get to work.  It was interesting to listen to my students the hour following PBL.  They were excitedly sharing with each other the plans they were making and the work they had accomplished.  Way to go students!See More

This week in addition to working on APlus, students have researched Puerto Rico.  Each student used a different internet site and researched two facts to share with the class.  As they presented their facts, the class recorded in their notes.  At the end of the presentations, each  student has a long list of facts.  Students also downloaded a map of Puerto Rico and a map showing it's placement with the United States.  Students will have a test that requires them to locate the Spanish speaking…See More

Students in Spanish classes presented their reports this week.  We are working on rewriting from the information found on the internet about All Saint's Day.  It was educational for me to watch the students teach each other to use the various forms of programs we have on our computers for sharing information.  With the end of the semester near, we will work more on grammar lessons they have completed.  There is a wealth of information and practice sites on the net, as well as testing sites to…See More

Spanish students used some on line resources this week to reinforce what they have been learning.  One activity was a grouping of their vocabulary that allowed them to listen to words and phrases.  They also used a set of lessons with quizzes to practice lessons they have already covered.  It was good for them to realize how much they have learned.
