This week our theme was "WINTER". We discussed a lot about what clothes we should wear in the winter and did a graph on Winter clothing vs. Summer clothing. Our vocabulary words were: winter, snow, cold, hat, scarf, boots and gloves.
We read lots of books all about winter time: "One Winter's Day, Clifford's First Snowy Day, Sam the Snowman, The Mitten and A Silly Snowy Day". We finished out Dear Santa letters and sent them in.

In Pre-K this week our theme was "Thanksgiving". We reviewed this week the letters and numbers that we have already learned. We introduced the song "Tommy Turkey", which the children loved. We learned about the first Thanksgiving, about the pilgrims and Indians, the foods they ate and what they wore. For our Journals we did "How to cook a turkey" and our turkey hand prints. This week in class, our theme was "Making Things". We talked about and made list of classroom tools, building tools, kitchen tools and medical tools. Our theme song this week was "Johnny's hammer. We introduced and learned the letter /Nn/ and the #7 song. For our nursery rhyme this week we introduced and learned Pat-a-cake. This week our theme was "Neighborhood". We learned about place in our community like Post office, library, school, stores, etc. This week we reviewed the A/R/L/M and D. In Math this week our number we learned was #6 and also did several math sheets. We also learned all about the color orange. We read books, sang songs and had lots of fun in our centers.
