  This week we had EOI Testing.  Since this was a short week we worked on make-up work in all my history classes.  The students also participated in Jeopardy ( U.S. Government).  U.S. History and Democracy took a variety of quizzes on my Moodle site (History.com).See More

U.S. History students worked on End of Instruction assessment strategy and practice booklet.  Information outside the booklet was also covered.U.S. Government students worked in Moodle in Lesson 3.  They also worked in the students books in Chapter 5 covering   the organization of Congress.Democracy students have been discussing the problems that we are facing today that will make history.  They also worked on an assignment dealing with the legal rights and responsibilities. U.S. History classes were given a practice test for the April testing.U.S. government students studied and worked on the informal requirement for the president.  They also looked up information over the president as Commander and Chief.  Studied information over the civil service system.Democracy Class discussed and took notes over the following:  hazardous waste a threat to the environment, pollution control, how chemicals affect our lives.See More

History Highlites: 02/11-15/2013

U.S. History Class this week was given handouts over Roosevelt and the New Deal, 1933-1939.  This included a Vocabulary Activity, Time Line Activity and a Reteaching Activity.  They were also given a test over the information gathered through their notes and reading.U.S. Government class was given Guided Reading Activities which covered the structure of the Constitution, principles of the Constitution, Three Branches of Government, and ways of amending the Constitution. U. S. U.S. History classes are studying the time frame of 1914 to 1918.  How America tried to stay out of the war through neutrality but ended up fighting with the Allied Powers.U.S. Government class:  Students switched from Oklahoma History to Government and students in Government went to Oklahoma History class.   Began checking history binders in all classes.  U.S. History classes and Government class watched a video over United States as a World Power and reviewed Guided Reading Activity 22-1 to 22-2 covering the U.S. foreign policy.  Democracy class did research over the "fiscal cliff".  Friday began review for all semester tests.See More
