We have had a wonderful week learning all about "The Garden", our unit. We learned our theme song "Plant some seeds as well as sang lots of other songs. We watched videos on the planting process and how the roots grow from seeds.
We planted radishes, carrots, and onions, in our root viewer and are anxiously waiting for our seeds to sprout roots and grow. We also received our caterpillars and they have already spun into their cocoons awaiting them to become beautiful butterflies. …

This week was our second week on our Insects Unit. We have had a fun time studying all the different insects. This week we studied, ants, ladybugs, butterflies and fireflies in the night. Finally more Spring like weather has arrived! Our theme was Backyard Creatures. We talked about the different creatures we might find outside and made a list of all we could think of. For our shared writing activity this week we learned about describing sentences. We look at a picture of an ant and shared sentences describing it. This week we finished our unit on "Oceans". We learned all about sea turtles, lobster/crab, shellfish, sharks, stingrays & jellyfish. We have had a fun time with this Unit. This week we finished our unit on Zoo Animals. We studied the letter Zz this week, it's recognition and sound and reviewed our #10. We discussed lions, tigers, reptiles, birds, and fish. Stace Bobbitt, Week of March 11th
This week we completed our unit on Zoo Animals. We studied the letter Kk and its sound. We discussed lions, tigers, many different reptiles, birds, and fish. The students also made a book titled, Zoo Colors. We reviewed our color words and "read" our books. Another great week in Pre-K. The boys and girls have been very rowdy this week due to our cold weather, but we survived. Wow!!!! What an exciting and fun week we had had. It's hard to know where to start. Another great week on the farm.
This has been a short week due to having Monday off and bad weather on Thursday, so we've had to cover a lot of farm animals this week. Another busy week on the farm! We had a three day week with our snow days so everything was bunched together. The animals we studied this week were cows, pigs, and chickens. Our local co-op loaned us digital egg incubators. The students really enjoyed seeing the process of the incubator. Unfortunately our eggs hatched on a day we were out for snow. This has such a fun filled week. We began our new unit "On the Farm". On Monday we learned all about the farm, got to see and pet some sheep and celebrated our 100 day celebration. This was a tremendously busy week, with many special visitors to our class. We celebrated our 100th Day of School on Monday then began our Farming Unit on Tuesday with a visit from some show sheep. This week we continued our Forest Animal Unit. We had a great time making crafts everyday. We studied Chipmunks,
