Taking a "Paws" to Praise Our Most Innovative and Creative Projects

I am excited about  the new year.  I was blessed with a smart board in my room this year.  I am excited about having this learning tool in my classroom.  We started the week with learning the rules and procedures of the classroom.  We started learning how to rotate through centers in our classroom.  I was pleased at how well this went.   We read the story "Mixed Up Chameleon" and talked about the id and ide sound this week.    In Math we counted and wrote numbers.  We used our small dry erase boards to practice adding and subtracting.  The kids love to use the small boards at their seat.  They  wrote a journal page telling about things they enjoy.  This will be displayed in the hall with a first day of school picture.

I am glad to hear that you had a good first week of school.  I hope that the new technologies in your class help you as you work with your kids!
